Communications Manager External Affairs & Media Relations



General:

•    Act as an advisor to the Local Leadership Team and CCBTs
•    Ability to network flawlessly with the MENA, cluster & Eternal Affairs & Media Relations network, ensuring the BU's are well represented and connected to the functional hub.
•    Apply and manage service quality levels across the function, aligned to the global and cluster functional leads.

External Affairs:

•    Develop and deliver an external affairs strategy to support local business objectives.
•    Build and network with appropriate KOF's and stakeholders to create advocacy, creating a positive external environment for the business to operate in via value adding relationships.
•    Put in place an effective issues and regulations early warning and monitoring system.
•    Crisis Management: Risk assessment, management and evaluation.

Media Relations

•    Create a powerful and effective BU MR strategy & program that differentiates the Unilever brand & drives equity of the divisions
•    Devise a KOF strategy with the goal to build long term productive relationships with key media stakeholders & Key Opinion Formers who could deliver 3rd party endorsement and relationship building to benefit the Unilever brand.
•    Build powerful proactive relationships with all relevant Internal stakeholders where applicable and/or required to ensure the effective and timely PR campaigning for Unilever brand.
•    Build a Social Media strategy and strengthen presence in relevant SM channels
•    Conduct cost effective media monitoring

Requirements
Relevant Experience:

•    Working in a multinational organization as Corporate Affairs/Government Relations/External Affairs professional in Egypt for 10 years +
•    Issues Management capability
•    Media Relations experience
