Performance Management Unit Head



 Our client a commercially driven, forward thinking and creative Governement entity is looking for a Performance Management Unit Head, to implement and manage Performance Management strategy in line with the Company's overall strategy. Drive the implementation and monitor its effectiveness to ensure continuous alignment with company's overarching strategy to promote and improve employee effectiveness by planning, monitoring and reviewing employee work objectives or goals and overall contribution to the organisation. The role is Abu Dhabi based.

The role

• Contribute to the development of the department’s annual business plan in order to ensure that the Performance Management unit’s activities and plans are aligned and congruent with the needs and plans of the department
• Monitor performance of the Performance Management unit in accordance to the direction set forth for the department. Maintain reports and documents containing individual and unit performance records
• Prepare periodic reports to reflect on the overall and individual performance of the Performance Management unit. Ensure that unit and employee performance is continually measured and addressed in a timely and effective manner
• Define effective Performance Management process that helps to establish and support the link between strategic business objectives and employee day-to-day actions and tasks
• Develop and implement Performance Management program and integrate the program with all staff to ensure management and employees smoothly adopt the program
• Maintain awareness of recent developments in Performance Management. Collect updates or insights regarding best practices and analyse it for potential use. Escalate recommendations to the Line Manager
• Provide recommendations and advice to senior management and employees regarding the Performance Management Cycle and their roles and responsibilities towards the program
• Align organisational objectives with the employee agreed measures, skills, competency requirements, development plans and the delivery of results
• Supervise the day-to-day operations at the Performance Management unit to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures and that employee activities are performed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
• Report on a regular basis to Talent Development Section Manager on the operational activities of Performance Management unit, Its challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation as required to keep the Line Manager informed and updated on the Performance Management unit’s activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent
• Must be able to demonstrate good strategy skills within their current or past role
• Should be able to communicate clearly with all levels within the business
• UAE National with Family Book
