Chef De Cuisine - Eatwell Restaurant



Job description / Role
We are looking for a confident and health focused Chef De Cuisine for a healthy eating restaurant - Eatwell based in Dubai.

With a hand in menu creation, kitchen management and working closely with the senior team of the facility and alongside a well-known Dubai health restaurant, the role requires the CDC to oversee the serving of fresh and healthy cuisine with modern techniques and vibrant flavors.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions.

Key Accountabilities:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
Conduct daily shift briefings to Kitchen Colleagues
Manage inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and the issuing of supplies and equipment for food production
Order all products in accordance with company's buying specifications and maintain inventory control
Cost menus accurately
Ensure all Kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectations
Liaise daily with the F&B operations Manager to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback
Maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and proper rotation of product in chillers
Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Ensure all quality controls are met for all products and services served to the customers
Ensure that the department operates in accordance with all policies and procedures of the Facility

Requirements
Knowledge Skills and Experience:

Education
Certification in Food and Beverage/ Catering would be an advantage

Experience
Minimum 3 years plus of relevant experience in the catering industry

Functional Skills
Able to communicate in English (verbal, reading and writing).
In depth knowledge of produce and food preparation.
Previous leadership experience in the Culinary field required
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
